Don't have an account? Christopher Reeve rounds out both sides of this character so perfectly - godly hero and mild mannered reporter - that you wish they gave Oscars for Best Casting. It doesn't have the horrible new sound effects added in 2000 and the sound mix is generally better. It is this year's answer to "Star Wars," a movie that is pure escape and good, clean, unadulterated fun. ... And sad, that the 1978 version of the character managed to be more progressive and independent than the 2006 version. They're a good people, Kal-El.
