Boiled potatoes were...The friendly and welcoming staff organised a hearty meal, despite getting in just before the kitchen closed. are inclusive of VAT. As others say, the great pleasure here is sitting outside on the terrace for lunch or ice-cream or drinks or dinner - a perfect escape from the tourist masses in Fuessen itself and especially Neuschwannstein. From the terrace you have magnificent view over the lake.

The food is typical german...We were here for dinner on one of our days of stay in the town. The very first interaction was not the most pleasant one. A wonderful experience following the poor reception at Hanselewirt (to be avoided! Did not stay at hotel which appeared charming, however, but stumbled across the restaurant for and afternoon bier, after visiting the church next door while waiting to pickup sons visiting the spa down the road. This is a large but cozy restaurant that serves German food. We weren’t overly welcomed as English only speaking, but our waiter spoke excellent English and took good care of our needs.
